The two year old talks in her sleep, or rather yells in her sleep. For someone so small, she could still be heard through the night, over the sound of the wind and rain!

I quickly purchased some Internet credit and went in search of a hast return flight home. Alas via NZ for $1800 each was something to be passed over. Any visions of sipping cocktails by the pool have long vanished, with the concept of cocktails in thunderstorms not really providing feelings of relaxation. Given my inability to consume large quantities of alcohol, perhaps a couple of drinks will wipe out the noise of the pounding rain.
I have managed to find the local phone number for Qantas and have rung to see if shedding tears will make a difference to providing an earlier departure date given that the weather forecast is predicting constant thunderstorms until our departure date. Of course the airport phones are congested, no doubt with other tropical seeking adventurers also sharing the same homeward bound epiphany.
I have managed to source the room service menu which is adorned with chips and pepperoni pizzas, much to the delight of both children. Well it is a holiday! I did manage to bring a large book to read, and we have a portable DVD player, so there are some positives.
News from the outside world indicates that there is a small chance of a cyclone, which is shown in my mind along with the appropriate theme song of "...we gotta get out of this place, if it's the last thing we ever do...' Now off for a warm soak in the bath to assist those stiffening bones.
