Day 2

Fiji is two hours ahead of Brisbane time, so the weary travellers went to bed around normal time, but appeared to be awake by 3 am.  In truth whilst I was asleep when the young one trundled in, I had been awake for most of the night listening to the pounding rain.  After 12 hours of endless rain, one can only reminisce to the recent Brisbane floods.

Our intended weekend at Treasure Island has been abandoned as the wind and rains have tore up the oceans, preventing the ships from sailing.

The storm outside is being rivalled by the 6 and 2 year olds attempting to play tennis on the Wii.  The local news is now reporting that whole villages are underwater, and rivers are flooding. 

Tropical images are showing signs of abandonment as the new images are be witnessed.
