Good Checking

It is always a good idea to check the step on a cold winters night before you open the door.  Snakes are never there, they love to lie in the sun.  And when it is dark, they obviously love to lie on the step looking lovingly in at the fire, just waiting for the next time you open the door to get some wood.

Not sure what made me look down, but thank goodness..and the fire can last a few more hours before I return for some more wood :-)
