Conscious of the efforts to continually push the ever tight boundaries and build confidence, we (Mummy) accepted the invitation, and then rearranged our birthday celebrations. We then had several weeks of stressing and refusal, to which I turned a deaf ear!
On the day it seemed that the best one could do was to follow Mum, and generally hope for the best. After seeing one of the other kids complete a demo run with skills akin to a squirrel, well it was Maddy's turn to bust a move. To her credit, she managed a couple of steps before requesting to be hoisted down.
On the next turn we managed a few more steps, and then the progression continued. Although she did not scale to the roof, I was super impressed by her ability to conquer the fear. So our journey of discovery continues, one small step after the other.
